Kickboxing
Kickboxing, Academy of martial arts kickboxing class is the perfect blend of muay thai , tae kwon do, and boxing which is not only aimed to target weight reduction and cardiovascular improvement, but unlike other “cardio kickboxing” programs, practical moves and correct technique will be taught and emphasized. The class time will be divided between conditioning exercises, footwork, doing pad work, bag work, and sparring drills. The last half hour of class is for free sparring.This is done optionally for those that choose to train for International Kickboxing Events (IKF). Free sparring allows the student to combine the timing , speed, judgement, and reflexes that he/she has developed, and to use them against a partner whose movements are unpredictable. Students learn to free spar while wearing academy of martial arts pre-approved saftey equipment only. Our students safety always comes first.
