"I always wanted to study Martial Arts when I was a kid; but my parents would never let me. Unfortunately, they had completely the wrong idea about Martial Arts; they were afraid I was going to hurt somebody. Actually, all I really wanted was to be part of a sport where I would always get a chance to participate, get in shape, and build my self-confidence. As an adult, I decided to get join Unified Tae Kwon-Do for many other reasons; such as: competition, self-discipline and overall physical and mental improvement. After I began my membership, Master Racki offered to let me work with him running the After School program, because he knew I wanted to become a teacher. Working with the kids has been a life-changing experience that will help me greatly as a teacher and a future parent. I am currently a green belt (about halfway to my black belt goal). This is motivated me to pursue my teaching career. I've had the honor of learning from Master Racki,the instructors and even the kids . "Having studied Tae Kwon Do in Detroit, MI under the WTA system I tested to the rank of 1st gup (next test BLACK BELT). Upon moving to Ormond Beach, FL I began seeking a new Tae Kwon Do school to continue my training.I reviewed all the Martial Art schools in the area that I could find. Although there were schools that taught the same WTA style that I was ranked in, none seemed to match the quaility of instruction that I saw at Unified Tae Kwon Do. I knew starting in a new system that I would basicly be starting over and my Black Belt testing would then be 2 years away rather than 2 months in my current system.It has been 18 months since I made the decision to train at Unified Tae Kwon Do.
